Apurimac

Apurímac means in Quechua, the language of the Inca people, “Speakers to the God”. It is a mountainous region with a rich geography full of surprises. It is located on the central Andes in the highlands of Peru. It limits to the north with Ayacucho and Cusco, to the south with Arequipa, to the east with Cusco and to the west with Ayacucho. Its capital is the city of Abancay.

For some people Apurímac is synonymous of adventure sports and adrenalin taken to the top. For some others, is submerging themselves in picturesque towns stacked on time where folklore surrounds everywhere.
